The Washington Post‘s weekend section has a feature on cocktail classes in the District. They range from totally unappealing (sweet drinks and flower arranging at the Gibson) to super basic (how to make Manhattans at Wisdom) to actually interesting (the history of classic American hotel cocktails at the Tabard Inn).
I wholly support going beyond the everyday getting drinks plus furthering our educations. I would love to take a class on bourbon history, along with an extensive tasting, of course. And while the flower arranging may not appeal to many, how about an evening of mahjong with Chinese liquors? This genre is really ripe for exploration. Let Supertastes know what boozy classes you’d like to take.
